This particular patch cord is recommended for networks and drives that require a very small bend radius that is outside the specifications of standard patch cords. The fiber in this patch cord is suitable for bend radii as small as 2 mm. This particular cable series is for short-distance applications such as those inside cabinets, those that require moderate tensile strength and others that must withstand moderate physical abuse and/or exposure to chemicals. This patch cord is made with a multi-core fiber bonded together to create a 1.0 mm optical bundle surrounded by a black polyethylene jacket for an overall diameter of 2.2 mm. Patch cords are available in multiple standard lengths and shipped from stock or quickly fabricated from stocked inventory to meet short delivery schedules.
