Tool and dies for ST/Versatile Link/SC connectors with standard POF cable.

Die set sizes: 0.128", 0.137" and 0.190".

Crimp tool and die set for swaging the following connectors/splices to POF cable:

  • Broadcom Versatile Link connectors
  • IFO fiber splice (IF 420090)
  • Older IFO ST connectors (IF CST)
All the connectors mentioned above mate to industry-standard jacketed POF (1.0 mm core/cladding diameter with 2.2 mm jacket OD).

The die set contains four cavities:
  • 0.128 in. hex (3.25 mm)
  • 0.137 in. round (3.48 mm)
  • 0.190 in. round (4.83 mm)
The 0.128 in. position is used for ST connectors and splices; 0.190 in. position is used for Versatile Link (simplex and duplex) connectors; and 0.137 in. round and 0.190 in. round are used for SC connectors.
Crimper tool will have red or blue handles.

Versatile Link is a proprietary connector and is now part of the Broadcom product portfolio.
